When I have the surgery I want to be able to do some sort of gymnastics... I have NEVER done them because I have always been over weight, and was wondering if any of you guys have done activities after the surgery you thought you could never do...I just want to be able to do a hand stand and not be scared I am to fat to do it! I know it sounds REALLY REALLY stupid, but that is my dream!

I was 30 lbs lighter then... It is called if you lift the camera over your head and look up a little your face looks smaller... You should try it... I really weigh 285-290 now.... but that was like 5 months ago....  I dont have a date, yet... But I will have surgery in probably 6months!!!

I just found out a few weeks ago that i can still do a cartwheel and a back bend,,, sheesh i wouldnt have tried that two years ago for nothing, i am sure i would have broke something important. It was a blast,  i just dug out my old rollerblades  last weekend, havent tried yet but thats next. and i went bowling once, and rode my bike a few times, its been a blast to see what all i can still do.  I think i am braver than i used to be too,, Good Luck, its so much fun Carla

I think that's great! I have tried things I was afraid to try before - personal training, horseback riding, tap dancing,... You go girl, go for it. Making exercise interesting and enjoyable is one way to keep it up.

My goal once I have surgery is to be able to ride roller coasters and not have the fear of not fitting into the rides and actually sit comfortably.  And be able to  tighten the seatbelt to where I KNOW I am not going to fall out! That, and to be able to run a mini marathon......hopefully working my way up to a full 26 miles! No dream is stupid!  You have the keys to make it come true!
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Flying on an airplane without a seat belt extension was my first WOW!!!.. I can't run because of my new knee.. got to save the stress on it.. and no jumping but I can do sooo much more than I ever thought I could... You can HAVE the roller coasters!!! Linda
